World Can’t Wait

by on May.29, 2009, under Organizations>Political Organizations>Human Rights

Looking at the line of people in orange jumpsuits and black hoods,  surrounded by the media, winding their way through the evening commute crowd at Grand Central, I got excited. I knew them and I was supposed to join them and put an orange jumpsuit on. But I could not find them before they got into Grand Central. And I expected it to be another boring activism event.

Even more exciting was their live demo of water-boarding on the street after the protest at Grand Central. And the guy in the demo really got water-boarded even though they tried not to really let water get into his nose.

These protests are organized by World Can’t Wait. Click on the name to see their website and find out what they are about.

It is amazing that their members have so much energy to pursue something that does not have much to do with their personal life other than their dignity and proud as Americans.
